I wanted to create a coaching program which enables players to play with freedom.

Creating the right environment for me is key for players to be able to express themselves and give them the right information to fufil their potential.

We want players to find solutions and continually ask why, when, where and how to game based scenarios to enrich the players knowledge of the game.

My journey in football began at my local grassroots team before i was fortunate enough to be slected and play for Leeds United for a number of years. 

My passion for the game has remained unwavering throughout, transitioning seamlessly into coaching. 

i am deeply commited to nuturing yougn talents both on and off the field, driven by a geniune love for the sport. 

ISAAC SUNLEY

LEAD COACH

I began playing football at a young age with my local grassroots team and have been fortunate enough to represent many diffrent clubs at various levels.

I have been with Academy One since the very start, having the opportunity to learn from some great cosches from the age of 14. 

I have always wanted to learn and constantly improve while playing football. Being able to continue this journey through coaching is an incredibly rewarding feeling. 

JAMIE WALKER

LEAD COACH

I have been a professional footballer for over 13 years, representing clubs in Scotland and England such as Hearts, Wigan, Peterborough and currently Bradford City. 

My passion for the game mean that i am currently working towards my UEFA B badge and hopefully some of my knowledge and experience within the professional game can help inspire the next generation.

I have dedicated my entire life to the game and enjoy continuing my coaching journey with Academy One.  

DAMIEN HARLAND

LEAD COACH (U8's)

With a background in football spanning over 20 years and playing grassroots football from the age of 9, i've always been immersed in the world of football. 

As my focus shifts from playing to coaching, i am excited to bring my experience to Academy One, an environment that offers structured and well-planned training for young players. 

At Academy One we are building for the long term, nuturing a love for the game that will last a life time and help build the right characters on and off the pitch. 

ANDY SHEPHERD

LEAD COACH (U8's)

I have played football for many years, mainly futsal and indoor 5 a side formats (which influences my philosophy of fast play) and spent several years playing in Cornish League football. 

I am an FA licesned coach and before joining Academy One, was the lead foundation age coach at Ilkley Town AFC. 

I am at Academy One because i strongly believe if offers the right opportunity for players of all abilities to have fun, develop and play the game in the correct manner.
